2023 Stage @ the Warner Season Presented by the Warner Stage Company
Warner Stage Company Celebrating 30+ Years of Theatre
The Warner Stage Company, comprised of more than 800 volunteers from all over the state, is the most active and comprehensive community theater program in Connecticut and beyond. Stage Company members work to ensure the highest possible production values, giving audiences great theater at reasonable prices and ultimately making live theatre accessible to all. Each season, thousands patrons come out to the Warner Theatre to see Warner Stage Company productions, and that number continues to grow!
The Stage Company offers talented area actors, musicians, and stage technicians the opportunity to produce full-scale, Broadway-style musicals and plays before thousands of theatre-goers in the dramatic setting of an historic 1,772-seat art deco theatre and the contemporary, state-of-the-art Nancy Marine Studio Theatre. Throughout the season, Stage Company members are in rehearsal on multiple shows at the same time, and are busy building sets and designing costumes on-site at the Warner Theatre’s downtown Torrington facilities, making the Warner a hot-bed of activity even when its theatres are dark.
The Warner Stage Company was founded by the late Jim Fritch, and Neil Pagano. Since that time, thousands of performers have “tread the Warner boards” and through the Stage Company have been inspired to pursue professional careers on Broadway, in regional theatre, film, and television to much success. The Warner Stage Company is an active member of the American Association of Community Theatre (AACT), a network of more than 7,000 theatre companies, and hosted the Association’s National Theatre Festival in June 2003.
