The Litchfield County Opiate Task Force proudly presents:

Reimagining Empathy: A Decade of Unity and Resilience

This is a full day conference featuring Keynote Speakers Johann Hari and Dr. Gabor Mate, and a panel discussion on Harm Reduction and empathy in action. Participants will also have the opportunity to choose to participate in 2 of 5 different breakout sessions, including sessions on mindfulness and sound healing, naloxone administration, compassionate policing through Deflection, and others.

Reimagining Empathy: A Decade of Unity and Resilience is commemorating a decade of dedicated efforts by the Litchfield County Opiate Task Force. Over the last ten years, the LCOTF has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to addressing the overdose crisis and root causes of addiction in our community. As we come together to honor this milestone, our emotions are bittersweet – a mix of joy and happiness for all that has been accomplished, but a touch of heartache as we remember all whom we’ve lost along the way. In recognition of this milestone, we would like to welcome you to join us for our upcoming conference that will not only acknowledge the efforts of the past decade but also serve as a platform to further the dialogue on these critical matters. We invite you to join us as we reflect on the journey our community has undertaken to improving the lives of all people thus far, and collectively envision a future marked by continued collaboration and enduring love, compassion, and empathy to combat the crisis at hand.
