American Repertory Ballet
Join former Warner Executive Director Barry Hughson as he presents the American Repertory Ballet in an evening of breathtaking dance. Not seen for 16 years, American Repertory Ballet is proud to present "Octet" by world renowned choreographer, Twyla Tharp. This performance will also feature a new work from Susan Shields, most recently a member of Mikhail Baryshnikov's White Oak Dance Project, Ms. Shields created this piece for ARB as part of the commissioning program for women choreographers, Dancing Through The Ceiling. New works by Harrison McEldowney and Val Caniparoli will also be featured this evening. Rounding out the program, Graham Lustig's intimate yet vigorous, "Six Pianos" a rhythmically complex composition played on six grand pianos and written in 1990 by British composer Graham Fitkin.
