The Northwest Center
for Family Service & Mental Health presents Amy Correia & Gerri Sutyak
Critically acclaimed singer/songwriter, Amy Correia will be generously donating her time and will be accompanied by the classically trained cellist, Gerri Sutyak. Correia has produced two well received albums and is currently working on a third with Gerri Sutyak. Her last album, “Lakeville” was a “Critic’s Pick” of Jon Parceles of the New York Times. Not only is Amy backed by the amazing cello playing of Gerri Sutyak, but she switches between piano, guitar and baritone ukulele throughout her songs. Erin Meister from Timeout Magazine describes Amy’s singing as “flitting among styles with ease, Correia wraps her raspy, earthy voice as comfortably around a gospel yowl as around a whispered confessional, and her earnest between-song banter can be shy and endearingly awkward. Easy going and unpretentious, Correia sings as though she is performing for a small group of friends.” |
