L’Oréal Paris Signs On As Promotional Sponsor for CT Premiere of FLYBOYS

TORRINGTON, CT -The Warner Theatre, 68 Main Street, announced cosmetics giant L’Oréal Paris has signed on as a promotional sponsor for the exclusive Connecticut premiere of the major motion picture FLYBOYS slated for Saturday, August 26th at 7:30 PM. In true Hollywood movie premiere fashion, L’Oréal Paris will provide premium gift bags (each valued at approximately $50) to the first 500 ticket buyers who purchase tickets prior to August 26th! L’Oréal, with a century of expertise in cosmetics and offices in 58 countries, has 18 global brands. Their products are distributed in 130 countries.

The movie, directed by Academy Award®-winner Tony Bill (My Bodyguard, Five Corners, The Sting), written by Oscar®-winning screenwriter David S. Ward (The Sting) and produced by Dean Devlin (Independence Day, The Patriot) and Marc Frydman (Scenes of the Crime), is based on a compelling true story of the first American fighter-pilot squadron to see action in World War I.

The exclusive screening of FLYBOYS, whose cast includes Golden Globe Award®-winner James Franco (James Dean, Spider-Man 1 & 2) and Jean Reno (The Da Vinci Code, Mission: Impossible), is a special event to benefit the historic art deco theatre and serves as the premiere of the theatre’s new digital projection system which was purchased earlier this year. The Warner audience will be some of the first seeing the film before its national release which is slated for late September.

The premiere event will feature a special introduction by the Academy Award®-winning director (and Litchfield County resident) and an exclusive post-screening VIP Champagne reception and silent auction. The auction, whose proceeds will benefit the Cole Palen’s Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome, a "living" museum of antique aviation, includes a chance to win a ride over the picturesque Hudson River for four people in a classic 1929 New Standard open-cockpit biplane courtesy of the aviation museum located in Rhinebeck, New York!

General admission tickets are $15.00. Gold Circle reserve tickets, which include the screening and the VIP Champagne Reception, are $50.00 and have limited availability. Special 10% discount for veterans and pilots with identification and group sale discounts available (not applicable on Gold Circle tickets). There are limited seats on hold for Warner Theatre Members. For tickets contact the Warner Theatre Box Office at (860) 489-7180 or buy online at www.warnertheatre.org. The premiere of Flyboys is sponsored in part by Torrington Savings Bank and media sponsors FM 97.3 WZBG and the Hartford Courant. Promotional support for this event is provided in part by Cole Palen’s Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome and L’Oréal Paris. FLYBOYS is rated PG-13.

About the Warner Theatre
Built by Warner Brothers Studios and opened in 1931 as a movie palace, the Warner Theatre was described then as “Connecticut’s Most Beautiful Theatre.” Damaged extensively in a flood, the Warner was slated for demolition in the early 1980s until the non-profit Northwest Connecticut Association for the Arts (NCAA) was founded and purchased the theatre. The Warner reopened as a performing arts center in 1983, and restoration of the lobbies and auditorium was completed in November 2002. Today, the Warner is in operation year-round with more than 125 performances and some 80,000 patrons passing through its doors each season. NCAA’s mission is to preserve the Warner Theatre as an historic landmark, enhance its reputation as a center of artistic excellence and a focal point of community involvement, and satisfy the diverse cultural needs of the region.
