This will be an Americana roots rockin' extravaganza to remember, as Christine Ohlman (called "The Beehive Queen" for her fabulous, mile-high coif), the long-time vocalist with the Saturday Night Live Band, rules the night with her regal brand of blue-eyed soul (former Rolling Stone editor Dave Marsh has dubbed her style "Contemporary Rock R n' B"), fueled by her band Rebel Montez (Michael Colbath-bass; Larry Donahue-drums; Cliff Goodwin-guitar). Songs from their critically-acclaimed 2010 release The Deep End (where Ohlman is joined by Dion, Levon Helm, Ian Hunter and others) will be spotlighted alongside songs from their five previous releases. Ohlman's shows are legendary for their high-level musicianship and deep, yarn-spinning storytelling. Kicking off the festivities will be The Bonesmen, with their own brand of guitar-fueled Americana. Watch for special guests, to be announced!
NOTE: The special VIP ticket covers an after-show champagne/dessert reception and meet and greet with Christine, and benefits the Warner Theatre Center For Arts Education Music Program.
